Programme

In this webinar, participants learned about the outputs of the NaturaConnect prioritisation work, highlighting those areas that can be considered ‘Safe-bet’ regions for exploring the implementation of the European Biodiversity targets.

We explored some of the key outputs from the NaturaConnect project and provided participants with the opportunity:

  • to provide spatial-explicit feedback on the results,
  • make recommendations for further improvement based on regional and domain knowledge,
  • discuss how these results might be relevant for other projects, implementation and their own interests.

Key topics discussed included:

  • Setting the scene and highlighting updates from the first webinar*.
  • Open questions and feedback on general methods and scope
  • Spatial-explicit exploration of the outputs in targeted breakout groups.
  • Breakout groups will focus, among others, on:
  • Transboundary protection | Strict protection | Restoration | Connectivity & Sectoral risks
  • Reporting back from each Breakout group and discussion, including common issues or feedback identified.
  • Next Steps and Outlook for 2026.
